LONDON FASHION WEEK: ST TROPEZ HEATS THINGS UP AT MARIOS SCHWAB

“It’s all about the legs” claims St Tropez’s skin finishing expert Nichola Joss whilst artfully applying ‘Wash Off’ tan to the models backstage.
Schwab’s AW10 collection was a definite hit with his beautifully detailed, flowing dresses and hemlines rising just above to knee to showcase those perfectly finished legs.
Set to be the tanning trend of the season, a flawless matte finish is achieved using the ‘Wash Off’ range from St Tropez – the perfect accessory for those of us wanting a tan without the commitment.
So ladies, it’s time to ditch the tights this winter and brave the elements because legs are well and truly back!

LOUISE GOLDIN AW10 & ST TROPEZ…. THE YEAR-ROUND GOLDIN GLOW

Sunday saw yet another scintillating show by designer Louise Goldin. Goldin certainly didn’t disappoint with her stunning AW10 Collection, which was showcased at London Fashion Week and sponsored by skin finishing experts St Tropez.
The bold, futuristic, military-inspired collection was super-sculptured, edgy and packed with attitude, a look that was perfected with a flawless St Tropez glow. The key notes for beauty trends stood out as strongly and sharply as the silhouettes on the runway; a year-round healthy glow and flawless luminous skin is ‘the look’ that all fashionista’s should be striving for.
Thankfully, St Tropez have made this ‘aspirational look’ incredibly easy to achieve for us mere mortals, with their fabulous ‘Wash Off’ range, which simply creates an amazing fuss-free tan…in seconds! So, what are you waiting for? Go get that Goldin glow!

Benefit Cosmetics for David Koma at Vauxhall Fashion Scout

Our favourite catwalk look – so pretty! Flawless, dewy skin, contoured brows and a nude matte lip complete this look which Rachel Wood describes as “futuristic with a hint of retro”.
Benefit Cosmetics for HEMYCA at Vauxhall Fashion Scout

A futuristic presentation for this hot design duo. To get the look, Rachel Wood used bright orange face paint across the eyelids and punctuated with lots of sparkle for Benefit Lust Dusts
Benefit Cosmetics for Alice Palmer at Vauxhall Fashion Scout

For the 3rd season running, Benefit is the official makeup sponsor for Vauxhall Fashion Scout. We’re backstage with lead makeup artist Rachel Wood getting all the key makeup looks for SS10.
The Alice Palmer show was all about gorgeous knitwear in strong metallic shades. We spoke to Rachel backstage and she told us: “I have created a textured metallic look by playing with a combination of creams and powders which compliment the clothing well”.
Benefit at Vauxhall Fashion Scout AW09

This week I was backstage at Vauxhall Fashion Scout checking out this year’s A/W make–up trends. Heading up the team was the lovely Rachel Wood from Benefit, who talked me though all the key looks and trends for next season.
Working across some fab shows including, Alexandra Groover, Harriet’s Muse, Hemyca and Ones to Watch, there was a definite pattern of make-up styles. There were two looks for A/W – the very natural or the extremely dramatic.
For the natural look, Rachel explained that it’s all about getting the right base this year and keeping the eyes and lips and neutral as possible. The dramatic look for A/W is going to be Gothic and Vampish with a pale base, dark eyes and / or plum and red lips.
The Make-up this year was outstanding and I’ll definitely be attempting some of these looks for my next night out!

Backstage with Bumble & bumble at LFW # 3 Felder Felder

“It’s like business in the front and party in the back, really…” Half polished, half grunge, the hair at Felder Felder was super cool and totally James Pecis.
Key Bumble and bumble products used - Surf Spray on the ends to add texture and grit and Prep to create a smooth blow dry from the roots to mid lengths.
Bumble & bumble at LFW # 2 Krystof Strozyna

90’s influenced pony tails ruled supreme at the Krystof show. Tomo Jidai’s low side partings and natural clean hair complemented the collection’s muted palette and amazing statement jewellery to perfection.
Bumble and bumble’s Styling lotion is a must for this look and Grooming Creme to tame fly-away ends.
