Bally opened the doors of the ‘Bally Ice Hotel’ during Milan Fashion Week to showcase the new AW13 collection. Models wearing garments from the collection were complete with the most important accessory of all: adorable husky puppies.

Bally’s continued obsession with superior leather mastery is at the centre of the AW13 collection – one that comprises in part, subtley boyish footwear, inspired accessories and luxuriously accessible ready-to-wear. Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler have reached into the Bally archives from the 40s and 50s and have re-imagined an array of essentials for the modern woman.

The design duo have taken inspiration from the life and work of ultra-chic photojournalist Lee Miller (1907-1977), one of the most remarkable female icons of the 20th Century. Miller’s adventurous spirit penetrates the soul of the entire collection; the mood is a seamless transition from the city environment to the alpine, a mood unified by a spontaneous melange of superior leathers, suedes and furs. Modern feminine cuts are juxtaposed with boyish shapes and a sophisticated material mix, collaged together for a graphic effect.
